Today's daily photo served two purposes for me. I am very angered and disappointed at what the teacher's union negotiated for us. 12 furlough days and all sorts of other concessions that sold many of us out!! So rather than get too angry I decided to do something really creative in the kitchen as my way of "venting." In this case I made a deconstructed chicken club sandwich. The components are panko crusted chicken breast, black forest smoked bacon, fresh avocado, basil pesto mustard, and they are all on a basil pesto platform. Quite tasty and I will be submitting this photo to the Food Porn Daily site as well.
While having lunch at a cafe I noticed these tumblers they use for water. Originally I wanted to get all the Google colors and capture that, but they didn't have green. So instead i tried to capture these two with what little condensation there was on the cups. Maybe next time.
Prior to parent conferences at school I went here with two of my close friends at work. I heard good things about this place so I had to try it for myself. The food was fantastic, especially the Black and Blue Burger. However, the staff needs a lesson on beer and glassware. You do not serve a belgian style triple (La Fin du Monde) in a pint glass. That is a big NO NO. Worse part is it even tells you that on the bottle.
Today's daily photo accomplishes two things. First the @dailyshoot theme of taking a product photo. Secondly, today is my birthday and so this is one of my gifts for today. Can't wait to make use of this since I already have an Eye-Fi pro, just not an 8gb Class 6 SD card.
A good friend of mine had to renew his driver's license today. He had to take the written test since that is required for everybody now. Take a close looks at these ridiculous questions. Also pay particular attention to question #4
Today's daily photo is of dinner. I really like to cook and capture, via photo, many of my creations. In this case I made ravioli last month and froze most of it for later use. This is a simple ricotta cheese stuffed ravioli tossed with an avocado oil and sliced avocados. To compliment this dish I made some roasted asparagus. The ravioli came out fantastic, primarily because I used the really good "00" Caputo Flour.
Today I had the privilege to spend an entire day with a group of innovative educators in the Lebanon/Lancaster IU 13 area of Pennsylvania. I conducted an all day Google Workshop and this group, like many of the others, was fantastic and my kind of people. I love giving these workshops to folks that are really making an effort to be progressive and provide their students with an education using the tools they will use regularly.
