Today we went on an excursion to the Healesville Animal Sanctuary. While there we watched a Bird of Prey show and I was fortunate enough to snap this photo. This is an eagle that lives in Australia and unlike the American Bald Eagle, this one has feathers all the way his leg.

Today we went on an adventure to the Otway National Forest. The trip involved a long and arduous drive along the coast. The famous road we were traveling on along the coast is known as The Great Ocean Road. I was fortunate enough to capture this image with no cars on the road.

During my first full day in Melbourne with the other teachers and students participating in this program we took a tour of Melbourne. I found so many amazing things to take photos of during this time. However, the Flinders Street Station was my favorite because of its' color, style, and architecture. Therefore, it was chosen for my photo posting of the day

In preparation for the trip to Australia with my students Discovery provided us with these books to review. After carefully looking at where we are going and what we are doing, this will be a wonderfully adventurous trip. I look forward to the day to day photo postings during the trip as well

As I begin to compile all the tech I plan to bring on my trip to Australia I added this awesome HD Video Camera to the mix. It is a 60gb hard disc canon that films in a really high resolution. The good thing is I will not have to bring any tapes and I can pretty much film most of my trip on this one camera, without having to constantly upload to the computer.

So among the many goodies I was sent and the previous photo showed the hat and t-shirt I was sent. We were also sent netbooks. In this case I was sent a Dell netbook. So far with the exception of my size, the keyboard is much more friendly for me than the previous Acer I had.

So today I had to sub in a class for a teacher that had no sub. As I ensured the students were on task I could not help but take this photo. Here you have a perfectly good smartboard doing what I hate the most, collecting dust. It is really too bad so many Smartboards were purchased wtihout any reasonable follow up PD and Instructional Strategy PD.
