Since I had a meeting and I am in preparation for my student adventure trip to Australia I thought it be fitting that I get a shot of my passport. This is actually my third passport since I have filled up my previous two. I cannot wait to post photos from and during the trip.

First day of testing at school. I said it before and I will repeat myself, I absolutely DESPISE state standardized testing. This is absolutely NO way to assess student learning and is a complete joke. I will have to do a blog posting about this on my regular Educational Blog

Sort of finishing up my week of water photos. While enjoying a four shot short pull latte I captured this fountain near the coffee house. The sound of the water streaming over each ledge was quite pleasant and provided a nice ambiance to what was otherwise a really nice day.

Ah the LA BBQ Fest. Not only was the food off the hook, there were ample opportunities to get good photos of the pitmasters doing their work. I chose this one because it was my second favorite. My favorite is a place out here called Baby Blues BBQ (http://www.babybluesvenice.com/). This place is in Kansas City, which arguably has among the best BBQ joints in the country. This was from LC's BBQ (http://www.lcsbar-b-que.nv.switchboard.com/). They had St. Louis ribs and smoked beans. The beans were the bomb!!

Back to the water theme. I decided to take this shot of my water bottle. It is made and sold by Kor Water (http://www.korwater.com/) I actually like the fact that they try to be environmentally friendly while providing a functional, useful, and attractive product. I have actually received a number of complements at conferences when attendees see this bottle.

Ok so this is not a picture of water. I am actually very close to the beach, but could not safely get a photo of it. So instead i got this shot of the Palm trees on a beautiful sunny afternoon in Santa Monica.

In keeping with my water theme for this week I took a close up shot of this fountain. I am kinda liking adding a theme to my 365 photo postings. I wonder if I can keep that up. Fountains are always such a nice and pleasant thing to listen to. What is your favorite form of water movement to listen to?

Yep it's that pool again. That makes it two days in a row I am hit up the pool. I actually wish I could go swimming 6 days a week. It does wonders for your fitness as well as aches and pains.

Working in the kitchen produced a cross between paella and risotto. This is filled with chicken and vegetables. I turned out to be quite tasty.
