During "Career Day" at school today I seized the opportunity to teach several of my students about Photography. I wanted to teach them that Photography is more about "vision" than it is about "seeing things" So we spent about 20 minutes photographing the Fire Engine that was there. I wanted them to see the lines, texture, shape, color, highlights, and shadows of the various parts of the engine. My photo of the day is the image I made of a valve for the main hose.

While waiting for my flight at the Orlando International Airport I noticed how the light was creating these cool silhouettes of the passengers waiting for the tram. I timed this one to catch part of the boarding passenger and her bag as she got on the train.

While in Orlando, Florida and just before the afternoon rains I swam some laps in this pool. The waterfall was a very pleasant sound in the water.

Happy Halloween. Lots of great displays to photograph but this pumpkin carving had to be the most clever. I call it "The Cannibalistic Pumpkin"
