Today's venture to the Paddock Riding Club gave me the opportunity to photograph a good friend of mine while she was training her horse. The photo of the day is of this beautiful animal. His name is Gabriel. Did you know there was an extensive Equestrian community on Los Angeles?

In following today's @dailyshoot assignment to "Make a unique photo of something mundane and ordinary" I decided to photograph a famous street sign, but use a technique in which I zoom the lense while the shutter is open. It took several adjustments of the shutter speed to get this, but there it is. Zoom!!

As our storm moved to the East the remaining clouds that hung around provided for a dramatic sky. This yielded view such as the one here, and in order to do the sky proper justice I made this an HDR image.

Today's daily photo is courtesy of the @dailyshoot assignment #ds413 "Make a photo of an interesting texture" So this photo is of a delicious side dish I made this evening. Toasted bulgur wheat with chopped parsley, pine nuts, and grilled mushrooms. I also doused it with a brilliant EV Olive Oil. Yum!!!

Since I will not be focused on doing a Project 365 this year I will try to make sure a significant percentage of my images are either HDR, Exposure Fusion, or have some other creative post processing applied to them.

For the final photo of my Project 365 I wanted to capture an image of the final sunset of 2010. The photo is both symbolic as well as an appropriate theme for the end of the year and my 2010 Project. Not sure if I will go for a third year in a row, but I will continue to make photo throughout the year and post them.
